Welcome to Yorkshire Neuro Physiotherapy, a specialist branch of PEAK Physiotherapy Limited which is dedicated to providing neurological physiotherapy rehabilitation to adults and children with conditions affecting their central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and peripheral nervous system.
Our elite team of highly-trained Neuro Physiotherapists are based across the Yorkshire region, and work closely with individuals of any age and any level of ability who have congenital, acquired or traumatic neurological disorders and injuries. This is a specific area of physiotherapy rehabilitation, requiring specialist knowledge and skills in order to optimise functional recovery.
Our team is highly experienced in dealing with all manner of neurological conditions including stroke (CVA / TIA), Head Injuries, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord Injuries, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s Disease, neurodevelopmental delay and other disorders of the brain and spinal cord that may affect an individual’s movement, co-ordination, mobility, functional capability and ultimately, their quality of life.
Some of our clients have other medical problems that exist alongside their neurological condition, such as fractures and soft tissue injuries, recent surgery, diabetes, cardiac and respiratory problems, or associated cognitive or behavioural difficulties. Our team has the clinical expertise that enables them to work with individuals who may present with complex combinations of medical, physical and emotional difficulties. Every aspect of the individual client is considered throughout their rehabilitation journey – our physiotherapists are renowned for their experience, their attention to detail and their empathetic approach to client care.
Our aim is simple. To maximise your potential, increase your independence and improve your quality of life, with care and attention, using the knowledge and manual skills of our specialist team.
At Yorkshire Neuro Physiotherapy, we can provide physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation sessions within your home, care home or from one of our designated clinics. Following an initial assessment, we will work together with you and your family to formulate a progressive rehabilitation programme, designed to address your difficulties and work towards your specific targets. Your rehabilitation programme will always be unique to your needs and your level of ability, and will support your long-term goals, which may include being able to transfer from your bed to a chair, sit or stand independently, walk to the corner shop and back, return to work, or take part in sport. We welcome all ages and levels of ability, and we are happy to be involved at any stage of your rehabilitation process.
